European water plantain

An aquatic, deciduous perennial with rosettes or elliptic to lance-shaped, pointed, grey-green leaves and tall, whorled panicles of white flowers from late spring into early summer. Grow at pond margins in water up to 30cm deep in full sun. Can become invasive so plant in baskets in loam to prevent spread. Not suitable for small ponds.
