Banksia blechnifolia Produces its new growth covered in orangy hair then generates thick horizontal stems and leathery' herringbone leaves to 20cm high. The inflorescences are pinkish brown and flower in late spring. It requires well drained, sandy soil. It can be quite vigorous. Overall, it is the easiest Western Australian Banksia to grow in a humid climate but does need extra water in dry periods.
