Tacca chantrieri, the black bat flower, is an exotic flowering plant with unusual bat-like, black flowers up to 30 cms. across.with "whiskers" that can be up to e in the yam family Dioscoreaceae. Tacca chantrieri is an unusual plant in that it has black flowers. These flowers are somewhat bat-shaped, are up to 12 inches across, and have several long 'whiskers' that can grow up to 70 cms. long.
