Help me identify this plant- what several people thought may be peony or dicentra... any ideas now it's come out? #plant-identity #plantid #foliagefriday
Someone helllllllp or it's getting removed in the morning hehe #help #plantid #plant-identity
Morning Abee I am a little flummoxed by this but will try and get an ID for you , in the meantime maybe dig it up and put it in a pot in case it’s something worth keeping ? Have a good day
Thank you @icedance ! Someone suggested raspberry? No prickles though?
Yes my first thoughts was an ornamental Rubus/ raspberry- blackberry? But I’m not totally convinced ... have a look at Rubus spectablis
@icedance very similar... but not sure! Will keep you posted and thank you for your help :)
Mmmm that’s what I thought too , you’re welcome .. a watch and wait I think 🤔
This is a long shot but I’ve just taken a wander down my shady border and came across my Gillenia trifoliata .... looks a bit similar to this but greener as in shade .. has similar leaf shape and arrangement and red stems ?
Could it be an astilbe?
@icedance @tessie thanks guys, Darren (husbands dad) has chopped it now anyway! Haha! That's the end of that mystery! Don't think astilbe though tess leave we're too round xx
Ah k, send me a pic of the progress from this weekend! Xx
Just posted one! Looks so fab can't wait to bring all my plants up now!! @tessie
