This is also called Aruncus sylvester and Spiraea Aruncus - apparently. It brightens up this shady area & looks wonderful at dusk 💚

So glad I saw this Jacqueline. I have the same one and thought it was just a very large Astilbe. It's massive and a present from the birds. I must rename it properly tomorrow 😊👍 You might be interested to see this @rachelbrooks

It is massive isn't it, but lovely 😊 @susanhumphrey333

Lovely frothy feathers! And you did say Sue you thought your Astilbe was rather big! 👍🏼 this would look good in my bath...if it wasn't so big! 🙈Jacqueline, @susanhumphrey333

Oh it would but your bath wouldn't be big enough I'm sure @rachelbrooks 😳

It is huge...but it's also been in the same place for years so hasn't grown very quickly 😊 @rachelbrooks @susanhumphrey333

One year mine wasn't there, the next year it grew to what it is now 😳

Ah! Well I suppose I wasn't there when mine arrived... 😉😂 @susanhumphrey333
24 Mar 2019 • I’m not sure if you can see clearly enough just how big this #aruncus is, save to say it defeated even the mattock. For now... #mattock-sculpture #garden-art 😉😂
For mattocks sake 😂😂🙄
I gave up Jane. Then thought it looked quite good like that. A bit like those strange balancing wine bottle holders 😜 https://www.amazon.com/Balancing-Gravity-Standing-Decorative-Accessory/dp/B072PZZC7B @pelly
Oh wow, mind you I wouldn't need to try balancing a half empty bottle!! It's like those balancing stones, they facinate me.
Me too. Someone once put several piles of balanced stones down by the river next to us. Fabulous! @pelly
We saw Adrian Gray doing one on the beach in Lyme Regis a few years ago, it was amazing 😍😍
I’ve never seen anyone doing it, other than our attempts, which don’t count 😉😂 @pelly
