#Coleus leaves used to be a very nice pastel pink color at the center, although nothing has changed that I know of... Any ideas /suggestions??? #advice

As I see you are going into winter, it could be lack of light intensity you get with the warmer months. Don't over-water or could lose it. Perhaps if inside plant put under a desk light. @aes239

@leisel Thank you for the info! 😊

Have you taken cuttings in case it succumbs during winter?

@brightcolours I haven't yet... guess I probably should... 🤔

I would...

@brightcolours Do you have any tips for taking coleus cuttings? I've tried twice but they didnt survive 😕

Try in the warmer months. I put cuttings in water. Leave in bright light. Top up water occasionally. Pot up when lots of roots have formed. At what stage do you have failure?

@brightcolours Almost all died before they could take root, but I've only tried them in soil/ plugs... gonna go throw a few in water now instead! Thanks 🙂

Let us know how you go!

I have 2 of these, they don't seem to grow much. All of my other coleus are growing leaps and bounds, how are yours growing? Beautiful

@Carlyn57 At first it grew a tall flower spike from the center, & afterwards I cut it down to remove the dried up flower... Since then it hasn't grown much taller but instead keeps growing bushier!

Any advice for taking cuttings from #coleus ??? Color is fading & leaves keep wilting 😞 Not sure if she will make it thru the winter, so I'd like to propagate if possible...
I usually just put my cuttings into glass of water, but admittedly do in warmer season. I don't always get 100% success rate either, as some just rot. @aes239 . Have heard of wrapping damp spagnum moss around cuttings too.
I have always used a root hormone powder and stick it in dirt, with just a small stem that only has a few leaves on top, you can opt out of the powder they usually root freely.. I have also placed the potted cutting in a large zip lock bag used as a green house. Good luck!
@aes239 I grew some of it last yr, and will post a pic of the tag....... I grew many cuttings from it by rooting it in water. Very effectively.
Thanks for all the tips 🙂 @leisel @treefrog44 @bpetty55 I'm gonna try some more cuttings today!
Happy to help! Good luck!
