Avocado growing well from fruit gathered on Madeira in April. Seems quite happy in a cold greenhouse, the #air-pot should air prune roots stopping circling of roots.

Superb project highly recommend espalair or trellis train it, n u will need a mate, a friend fae Venezuela looked at mine,in the kitchen,touching the roof n said "u need a bigger house and a mate" so wen I moved I donated it ti Botanical Garden wi a mahoosive greenhouse!

Mother grew avocado as house plants when I was a kid, they hit the ceiling & lost all their lower leaves due to dry air. Will keep in greenhouse & hope I have a hardy strain & prune it to keep compact. I have seen pictures of trees surviving outdoors in that there London.

Oh definitely if in shelter, bonsai avocado hmm ,could hav tiny avocados!
