Looked at my fly trap this morning and noticed something different grown in the center. Is that a flower stem growing?
Wow! Never seen one flower, i looked it up, and it takes a lot out of the plant when it does flower, it may even die, if you are not experienced with the plant...says to cut it off if you are not sure... hard choice to make 😦
Thats what it looks like to me if im correct they should be white i plan to let mine flower just not seed i wanna see the blooms myself
@treefrog44 @toddbrandino I will let it do its things. I want to see it also.
Please take a pic when it does, would love to see it! :)
@treefrog44 I will take photos as it grows and blooms.

Looks like he caught his breakfast.
Kewl , I've never had any luck with a Venus fly trap
@jawjam. I haven't in the past either. Been a long time since I had one. But I don't think I kept it watered enough before. Got this one a few weeks ago. Giving it another shot.
Yea, I think they do best in terrariums, they like a humus and humid, warm environment.
@jawjam. Yes they do like humidity. That is why mine is outside right now. Ohio has a lot of humidity.

Finally found a fly trap. I also found a kit with a dormant fly trap root and a dormant pitcher root. I got them potted. Can't wait to see how they do.
I had a pitcher and a Venus fly trap! But in the central valley heat the poor things desiccated.. shoulda got a terrarium
I have one I just love them 💓🌿
