Dionaea muscipula

This is the fly trap that my Mum gave me yesterday. It's looking a bit sorry for itself so time to read up on it's care 😊 #venusflytrap

First of all it should be sat in a saucer filled with water at all times 😁💦When it turns black and begins to wilt & die at this time if year, its normal - it should be fine and return in Spring

Almost forgot - it should really be rainwater. I'm lucky where I am in the North West that I have soft water so can just about get away with tap water. Hard water can kill carnivorous plants!

Thanks Chris @clarder that's really helpful 😊 I have RO water (pure water) do you think that would be Ok? I love carnivorous plants, I find them so interesting 😊
