Good use of the empty beer bottle after the disastrous attempt to alcoholise the slugs last week. Was throwing weeds over the old railway embankment and spotted masses of beautiful #bindweed flowering. Pity it's so invasive. Flowers are so delicate like paper. They are white with just a hue of pink. The white and pink #dahlia was already there as it had been broken in the wind. Think this might be more successful than my attempt to control slugs 😂

My slugs must be in AA. No matter the type of beer, they won't touch the stuff.

@lovestogarden If I was honest it might have worked if I'd persevered but I thought what's the point of all this beer just evaporating I might as well drink it myself😂😂

I often wonder what a pretty flower the bindweed has like you say such a shame it's so invasive but a grand display Mo 😊❤️

About slugs, you can kill them with salt, do you know that?

Thanks @lilium @heuchra58 OK so what I need to do is make them very salty porridge.😂my problem is a very inquisitive greedy dog. He was eating horse poo pellets today that I had dug into shrubs yesterday. The little devil had sniffed them out and as Jack Russells do he was digging them up & eating them. Whatever I put down he has a go at 😂😂

@angipangi try to collect slugs first then salt them, just in case 😀 or you can get some ducks, but I'm afraid they will be delicious too 😂

Morning Ceca Sorry @lilium couldn't collect them. I can barely look at one let alone a pile. I'm hoping for a cold frosty winter to kill off some of them. Natural justice😉 Ducks has to be a no no They wouldn't have a feather left within hours of arrival. Angus is a bit partial to wildlife hunting🐶😂😂

@angipangi your posted pic is pretty but when I read about Angus eating the manure and lappin up beer cracked me up. He sounds like such a character!

@blueheart He certainly is a character. He occasionally needs reminding that he's a dog. I always say I like a real live characterful dog not an ornament so he really does fit the bill. I've got a bag of henpoo pellets that I'm wary of putting into the ground cos he's gonna dig it up too. I won't be buying anymore of that particular manure again. 1st & last time. 😂😂
