Cyperus involucratus syn. Cyperus alternifolius

I’m pretty certain it’s Cyperus involucratus (stem in cross-section top right) but there is nothing dwarf about it - the encyclopaedia suggests it should be a max of 60cm... If it’s not the parent of the two shoots bottom left then I have no idea at all how they got there 🤔🤔🤔 @clipperty @ShelleySnyder

@awomanonabike I saw cyperus alternifolius at a local nursery last week, it's so amazing I will grow it in 14" pot

It will be very happy Yash😊 Mine sits in a larger pot that constantly has water in it to a bit below the level of the soil 👍@kaporyash
