Welcome to GardenTags, I think your plant may be umbrella papyrus?

Thank you for commenting on what you think this plant could be but unfortunately It’s a wild plant that has spread across the garden. It started off as just one now it’s multiple across the garden, we don’t have a pond or live near one and after looking at adolescent and mature versions of umbrella papyrus it doesn’t seem to be the same one.

Welcome to Gtags. I agree that this is a variety of #cyperus or #sedge. They spread prolifically by seed and are hard to eradicate. Here is a link: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyperus Enjoy your gardening journey and this phenomenal app.
