Little #eucomis-bicolour ... they remind me of palm trees 🌴 🌴
Apologies Richard. I’ve just had to repost this as had linked it to the wrong eucomis 🙄 I don’t want you to think I was deleting your comment but couldn’t work out how to do it any other way 🤨 @richard.spicer.7906
Ah no worries Jacqueline 😄 - I did notice that you had tagged it with your other record for Eucomis autumnalis but I thought maybe you were merging them just into one record. Have you still got your other one too? They both looked really nice 👌🏼
(PS I really do hope one day in GT we can edit our photos to change them to a different record, or convert to garden pic, or vice versa)
Fabulous Jacqueline!
@richard.spicer.7906 I think you can do that already. I have changed mine when someone told me I classified it wrong. Just use the little pencil.
Ah yes, you’re quite right Linda 😊👍🏼 - what I meant to say was if you’ve accidentally linked a post to an existing record by mistake (with existing photos), you can’t then change that new photo without changing all the photos on that same record. Currently you would have to delete and repost it correctly. Hopefully that feature can be added soon 🤞🏼 @rhododendronmad
@richard.spicer.7906 🤞 me too. I mess up often! 😁
I have one with exactly the same leaves Jacqueline and I SOOOO want it to flower 👀 @awomanonabike 🍍
Thanks Richard (and thanks for not pointing out my error 😊) Yes I still have the autumnalis too. I must check and see if there’s any sign of flowers. And yes that would be so useful wouldn’t it 🙏 @richard.spicer.7906

26 Jul 2019 • ...and a bit more firkling revealed these too. #goodthingscometothosewhowait 😬 @richard.spicer.7906 @anges
Good job you went firkling! 😁
It means they’ve actually had a watering which might help 🤷♀️😂 @anges

9 May 2019 • My #eucomisbicolor seeds have germinated! 😃
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Yay 👏👏👏
Thanks Rachel. No idea what I do with them now 🤷♀️ @rachelbrooks
Wait...very, very patiently 😉😂
I’m really chuffed Jane. (Less so with your erysimum seeds. 2 germinated but then seem to have got burnt off when it was very sunny 😢) @pelly
😳 What! You mean they’re not going to flower soon?! 🤷♀️ @rachelbrooks
Soon is such a relative term...🤭
🤣🤣🤣 @rachelbrooks
You deserve to be and what a shame about the erysimum seedlings. Maybe they weren't as viable as the ones I collected last autumn. I'll send you some more later in the year, hopefully they will be more successful 👍👍
I didn’t know what that was but just looked it up- so cool! I bet you’re so pleased Jacqueline. I know I would be 💚
It is a shame Jane but I’d be happy to try again. Maybe I can send you some eucomis seeds, if they flower again? @pelly

7 Dec 18 • #fadedbeauty #beautyindecay Even at this stage it’s one of my favourite plants of the year 💜🖤
Wow! That is stunning !💘😍
Isn’t that lovely? Looks antiqued. Mine is long gone...all went mushy
Just fabulous at every stage!
Thanks Shelley. I think it looks like pencil shavings from a pink pencil @ShelleySnyder
I’m sure mine would have done too but I put it in the greenhouse in October as I’m an overprotective parent 😉😂 @rachelbrooks
Thanks Laura 😘 @columbiariver
It really is Val. And I don’t think I would ever have known if it hadn’t been for GardenTags and all you lovely people 😍 @valjones-hughes
Same here Jacqui, I grew it for the first time this year and would have thought it far too exotic for my wild Welsh garden if it hadn’t been for this great community! Big up GardenTags @ukgardentags
👏👏😘 @valjones-hughes
Aha! Clever! 😉👍🏼
Well, we’ll see... Fingers crossed they will come back. Discovered last night there’s a burgundy coloured one... 🍷🍷🍷 @rachelbrooks

28 Jul 2018 • I couldn’t decide which photo of this #eucomis to post - so you’ve got all three! My #bestofjuly by far. Just love them 😍💚
Funky fellas! Love ‘em! Oh! I’m s’posed to be measuring mine aren’t I?! Be right back..! 🤣
Hang on a mo... @rachelbrooks
My bicolor is 39cm (15 1/2”) and the alba is a mere 27cm (10 1/2”) - you can just see it photobombing the bicolor in the bigger photo 😉 @rachelbrooks
Oh yes! I reckon it must be a dwarf one...it’s more dwarf than my dwarf! (Only another four and we’ve a whole set! 😂) ooh you’ll have to let me know if it gets any bigger! 👍🏼
I’m just really enjoying them, whatever size they’re supposed to be 💜 @rachelbrooks

13 July 2018 • The flowers are still teeny but the foliage is fab #foliagefriday 💚🖤💚
Ooh like that! I’ll have to see if mine look like that 🤔
I’ve never grown them before but have always liked them when I’ve seen them elsewhere but hadn’t noticed the #foliage @rachelbrooks
I’ll let you know when I get home! Can’t believe I’ve not noticed!
Oh do let me know 🤔 @rachelbrooks
Wahhhhh I don’t have a flower spike yet !!! @awomanonabike @rachelbrooks x x
There’s still time. The seasons have been so weird this year @clipperty
Reassuring x x x
💚I don’t think I was ever aware of them until I saw them on here. Just bought one to try out, loving watching it emerge!
Me too Val. I had seen them in botanic gardens (Cambridge I think) but it never occurred to me that I could grow them here, until I saw people on here growing them in pots (though typically it’s been so dry here they would probably have done fine in the ground this year 🙄) @valjones-hughes
#eucomis #eucomisbicolour #eucomisbicolor 😬
I put my one and only into a pot too thinking was that if it worked out I’d get more next year. Going well so far!
A little bit tropical in #Cumbria today #eucomis-bicolour 🌴
That is tall
Or I am short! 😉😂 @joannie.a
I don't know if you are short, I am 5'2" and it looks, very tall to me😘
I’m 5’ 2” too but it is on top of a column (part of an old pot that broke) and I crouched down 😂 @joannie.a
