If I could only have one rose, it would be #gertrude-jekyll Beautiful? ✅ Scented? ✅ Climber (if you want it to it will)? ✅ Repeat flowering? ✅ Robust? ✅ Just 👌💗 #rosa-gertrudejekyll
Perfection 💕💕💕
One for the future wishlist I think 💖
It’s very popular isn’t it….I can’t understand why…🤔🤭😏😘💝
Oh definitely Jason 💖 @hebelover
😂 Nah! Me neither @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
Dear Gertrude such a lovely rose. Perfect blooms I just love them. @awomonon abike.
Oh me too Joyce. I love it so much I have two! 💕 @joycemb
We bought one on Thursday from David Austin Gardens, beautiful
Oh you lucky thing. You have so much to look forward to! 💗 @brighton

Any ideas?!
A mutant by the look of it...I’ve had three so far....all first buds to open...couldn’t tell you why unless they caught the last frosts..
Weird isn’t it... @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
It is I’ve had a few double headers too..🤷🏼♀️
I wonder what has caused it 🤔 Otherwise this rose has never looked better or had more flowers 🙄 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
I’ve just had a look on Google and one of the reasons is weather fluctuations 👍🏼 and yes it doesn’t seem to bother the rest of the plant..
🙄🙄🙄 well we’ve definitely had those 😂 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

Just when you think the garden is beginning to go to sleep... 💕💗 #rosa-gertrudejekyll
What a treat 🌸🌸🌸
@awomanonabike ....... Wow! ....... These are wonderful Jacquie .
Definitely Jane and completely unexpected. One on each of my two plants 💗💗 @pelly
Thanks John 😊 @johninbrighton
Beautiful 💖
Thank you Jason 😊 @hebelover

Can there be a more perfect #rose ? It will climb if you want it to but otherwise behaves very well as a shrub. It has few thorns. It is beautiful, has a heavenly scent and is named after the pioneering garden designer and author. What’s not to love? 💞💞🌹💞💞 #rosa-gertrudejekyll
I can't think of anything 💖💖💖
Looks absolutely perfect 👌🏻
Perfectly formed, lovely rose 🌹 pic
It’s just 👌 isn’t it Jane @pelly
It is Sharon. It is my favourite without any doubt 😍 @sharonhayden
Thanks Mark. It’s easy to take a perfect photo of it as it is so photogenic! 😊 @solly1961
It’s beautiful....💗
Thanks Elaine 😊 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
Such a beautiful one! 💗
Thanks Dan. I hope you have this one already. It is 👌 @dan5584
I’ve just posted what I always thought it was Princess Alexandra but now I’m not sure, can you have a look and see what you think x

The first flower on this gorgeous rose and it’s on the one in the builder’s rubble bed 😃💗
Beauty 💗❤
It’s my favourite rose. The perfume is divine 👌 @solly1961
Mine too, 💗💗

26 Jun 2018 • No summer garden should be without Gertrude. She may not fill the garden with scent like the philadelphus but when you get up close it’s a beautiful #scentofsummer
She's a lovely Rose 🌸🌸
Beautiful 💕
I think it’s my favourite 🤔 @pelly
Thanks Alf 😊 @gosmanalf
My favourite is my Rosemoor, but I only have three different ones (plus a few miniatures) 💕💕
If you ever think you need another I’d really recommend Gertrude. She is extremely well behaved and happy as a small shrub rose or can be persuaded to grow against a wall 💕💕💕 @pelly
Thank you for the advice Jacqueline. Until next doors conifer hedge comes down next month I’m all out of space unfortunately @awomanonabike 🙄🙄
Wow that’s amazing 😉
Next month?! Woohoo! @pelly
Thanks Sue 😊 @suerichards
Oh I know, I can't wait but, and it's a worrying but, we won't be here when it happens as we are on a family holiday. I just hope they don't damage my two Hydrangeas that are in this flower bed @awomanonabike 🤔🤔

Wish we had smell-o-vision...
Me too. Looks gorgeous @awomanonabike . 🌹🌹
This is my favourite rose @pelly . The #scent is just divine! Very easy too. I have given several as presents & they have thrived
You’ve just got to love the work of the #leaf-cutter-bee 🐝 🐝. An unusual one for #foliagefriday
Little biscuit cutter 😂
Yup Janice! 😂 @lovestogarden
I think it's trying to make a jigsaw! 😆
😂 It’s certainly trying to make something, though I’m not sure what! I think it’s rather pretty 😊 @lilybee
I think it is too, nature at its best 😍
Ours chose wisteria leaves instead, they are amazingly regular circles 🐝
That must look amazing Sue, as wisteria leaves are already quite narrow 😃 @churchfarmgarden
Yes they must have been very precise bees @awomanonabike 🐝😊
👍😂🐝 @churchfarmgarden
