Good evening all! What a day! I had a blocked drain that led to a burst pipe that led to a very wet kitchen by the time I noticed it! Thanks to the two guys from Dyno Rod who sorted out all of the mess that could have flooded my downstairs! Anyway, it was lovely to see the purple tips of these #allium 'Purple Sensation' plants appearing! Hope you've all had a better day than me! 😀 #signsofspring

Oh my! Glad it got sorted before it ended up in a disaster. 👍👍 Beautiful allium! I'm growing some for the first time this year and I'm pleasantly surprised how lovely the leaves are.

@Keely - Yes Keely, not a day I'd care to repeat! Not much damage, just a lot of work to clean everything up! Not sure I'll be able to dry my washing powder out though! Yeah, Alliums rock! 😀

@pelly - It's funny Jane, but I'd normally be at a meeting on Friday morning and in the pub during the afternoon, but my meeting was cancelled so I was lucky to be home! 😀

Very Ian. I literally just put mine in the ground outside yesterday. It has still been near freezing at night here. We are supposed to warm up to 70°F here this week. I have my fingers crossed 🙏🤞🤞🤞🤞

@rachelbrooks - I think the bulbs have rotted previously due to the amount of rain we've had over winter! Hopefully it'll be drier this year! 😀

Yes, that's what I'm worried about...I'll have to add a lot of grit to the holes when I plant I think 🤔 fingers crossed we get a fab display! 👍🏼
