Anyone wondering what to do with their #alliums once they've gone over how about drying them out and spraying them after I sprayed mine last year mum decided to do hers this year with two colours they look great in a vase 👍😍

@jpea I've had my dahlias outside now for ages put a couple in garden too turn your pot upside down n see how our roots are doing if they are coming through bottom you should be ok now as think we've seen last of frost but you may need to keep a check on slimers 😁

@jpea no not yet they are waiting to go in as I'm waiting for Spring flowers to die back first! Have to changeover for summer as borders not big enough for both seasons! They will go where wallflowers n alliums are.

My favourite allium stands proud and full of clusters of flowers 💜💜💜

@AlisaJ oh they are lovely bulbs you won't regret it, some varieties better than others as some of the thinner stem ones need to grow through shrubs to support them better but otherwise they are lovely 😄

@Diane76 thank you @pelly thanks Jane I do cram everything in but have to plan for changeover into Summer due to having a small garden so lots are taken out cuttings taken and replaced with summer plants so its constant turnover each year 😆👍

This is what I'm no good at yet, I do try to plan ahead, but I struggle a bit Keely 🤔🤔🤔

@pelly Jane its always hard when you have a new border or garden, I've made lots of mistakes and I've been here 20 years now and I still do with plants that outgrow my borders or that I didn't research well and give them enough space to grow im getting better each year as every day is a learning curve and there are so many plants to choose from I want them all but wont fit in haha 😂

@mellybobs i dont know to be honest mine stay in all over winter in garden and each year multiply so need to split them this year for next never done them in a pot might rot otherwise. Sorry cant be of help 😯

Sensational! I've tried growing these from bulbs for the past three years and haven't had one emerge! Wish I knew your secret! 😀

@bigemrg my lips are sealed 😁 no they must like my soil n spot hot n sunny position well drained they multiply every year now need to split them this year too many together, they get a good feed of tomfood 😁

I've been trying to grow them in large concrete pots and thought I'd given them ideal conditions! Maybe something is eating the bulbs?

Yes i would check on the pot incase vine weevil got in, they did same to my lillies so had to start again! 😡

@lovemygarden65 I have a few of these supports they were 10p a few years ago in b&q so grabbed loads, also bend them for other supports and look a bit different been twisted
