Help me identify this plant. Bought this at Home Depot. They call it a Siam Tulip. I've never seen anything like it. I really want it to succeed. #plantid #new #newplant #tulip #pink #purple #newgrower

@camilio81 I'm in zone 7b and mine did not come back. After it blooms cut it back and you should get new growth. Maybe if you mulch it heavily although I don't know your zone.

@maldavis I'm in middle Tennessee. I'm terrible about knowing the zones, I always have to look it up. So you had one of these? I really want it to live, it is so beautiful! Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

@camilio81 let them bloom out. Cut them to the ground. Dig them up and put them inside for the winter. Replant one inch deep in spring after last frost danger. They prefer morning sun. They are perrenial in zone 8-10 and even 8 struggles. Since I don't know your exact location I can't pinpoint you zone. Most of middle Tennessee is 7a but there are spots around Chattanooga that drop to 5 ( higher elevations). I highly recommend "the Southern Living Garden Book". Got mine on ebay super cheap but h
