Awh a little lone flower on my #camellia - it got so heavy last year the branches started to snap, so I “raised the canopy” - get me sounding like I know what I’m talking about.!? Any way it’s a better shape and in bud so I got away with that! Happy Thursday everyone

I'm not going to cover it as it's a really large established shrub, just going to risk it, it's survived snow before.. hope that helps @MoyaB

I bought my first camellia a few weeks ago. It's tiny with no buds. Do you know how long they take to flower Carole ?

Oh I don't @susanhumphrey333 this one must be years old as it's about 4ft across and the same height.. hence why I'm not covering it! I would have thought it would in its first season but I know they like to be well watered and not dry out, so if it's in a pot keep it topped up or get it in to the ground as soon as you can..

Thanks Carole. I bought it when we had a hard frost so didn't plant it at the time. Will be planting my new border soon so it will be going in there 👍
