Mmmh not a bumper crop of #blackcurrants so far but I’ll squeeze a pot of jam out of them eventually but into the freezer for now! 😂

Thank you @sue1953 @TheGardenWife @tash74 and @Andreamarie gin it is then! Like it was ever in any doubt 😂😂😂 @cottagegardendave it's so easy to make same weight of sugar to fruit! You can individually pop each berry if you want.. Then pop into a half full bottle of cheap gin - Aldi or Lildi good enough! And @kean I'll make raspberry jam 👍

@carolecuttingitfine Excellent! We infuse Rhubarb, Red Currant and Elderberry Vodka every year 😍 Not all together mind 😂 Unless I've had a stressy day 😉

Second year of black currant bush - here's hoping it produces enough to make black currant gin! 🍷mmmmh

Made my first lot of jam last year, strawberry and raspberry.. The "children" (all in their 20s!) had them in their Christmas stockings! Not sure there will be enough blackcurrants for jam.. But always enough for a sniffer of gin!
