Advice needed: I have never been able to keep indoor plants before this orchid. I received it last September for a present after my youngest was born, it has thrived on my kitchen window sill, north facing window. I put it in water once every 10-14 days and leave it to soak for about an hour. The latest flowers are starting to fade and fall but I’ve just noticed what looks like a new root out to the side. What actually is it - is it a root? And do I need to do anything such as repotting or feed?
Looks like a new root off to the right! You should be regularly fertilizing with a balanced fertilizer and only repot if needed, outgrown pot, and roots or broken down potting media, looks like your doing a good job @choccyholic 😁
