Our cabbage tree has been a bit neglected. We acquired it when we moved in 2015. It's always just got on with it and because I don't really know what to do with it. However it's got a bit of mottling now and not looking as healthy as it has. Although it's grown some amount and is shooting out new growth even now. However I am little unsure how to prune / care for it. Anyone have any experience or tips? Any help would be much appreciated. #cabbagetree #cabbagetrees #help #care-help #care
Yes! I can help with this. My wife's gran has one.... Put on some leather gauntlet gloves, think of something that makes you really angry, and aggressively rip any brown/yellow leaves and dried flowers out of the stalk. A small number of them will not give, so you'll need to snip those off with secateurs. It will then reward you with loads of fresh new growth 😁
😂😂😂😂 now this kind of pruning I can do. Taking a day off Friday for the good weather. Will keep you updated! Cheers Martin! 😁
#cabbagetree looking alot happier after I attacked him. Well maybe not happier but certainly looks healthier 😁
Took your advice, Martin. Need a new set of gloves now 😂🙈 @dreggennedd
