Starting to grow a Meyer lemon tree in a pot. First time with a citrus tree. Currently on my balcony for the summer but will come in for the winter. Hopefully will get some fruit this winter! #meyerlemon #lemon #zone7a
Help! When weather got colder here on zone 7A (before any frost), I moved my potted Meyer lemon tree inside. At first, it did really well. In fact, it flowered, and after I hand-pollinated, I now have several ping pong ball sized fruit on the tree. However, all the leaves are discoloring, as in this photo and are falling off! I don't know why. I have been watering about once weekly, as I know this tree is susceptible to root rot. I've also been fertilizing more frequently given that it now has f

Don't know much about these but I'm in your zone and plants that I bring inside get less water and indirect light. They seem to do fine once going back outside in the spring.
@maldavis Thanks! Since last week, the leaf drop seems to have stopped (although it already had dropped more than half of it's leaves. After watching more videos than I can count, I think part of the issue was the tree wanting some nitrogen. Gave it some a few days ago and no dropped leaves since. Could be a coincidence though, so I'll see what happens.
