Opuntia Subulata

I know some parts of Australia, this plant is considered as weed and not allowed. So thank God I don’t live there because I am loving the colorful needles #evesneedlecactus #opuntia #opuntia-subulata #succulent #succulentlover #urbangardening #cherrysgarden

It is a fast grower. Certainly not a weed in a pot. 🌞

They get really big too, I have several, one is almost 5 feet tall

@sunlovin @docthrill I had this plant for more than a year and it feels like it haven’t grown much. Hmm I wonder if I’m not watering it enough 🤔

I think the older it gets, the faster it will grow. You can water it more, as long as the soil dries fast. 🌞

They can handle lots of watering unlike most cactus they have enormous tap roots, @sunlovin all of mine grow fast, small or big but it’s true the biggest ones grow a bit faster when they develop big tap roots

If you want it bigger try watering it a bit more. Fertilizer will give it a boost. Turns out succulents do well with your leftover coffee as @kelsey92 suggested from her teacher from school told her. My daughter @saguaro found an article about it. I’ve been dumping my leftover coffee in my succulents every since my daughter told me . So far so good @sunlovin
