Loving other people's gardens on GT and with a little help from the community I hope to one day love my own!

These are looking so impressive this year. It’s their 4th year so they’ve really matured. And they look even better against the newly painted fence!

A new addition to the garden. I've always admired these in other people's gardens but I've always been nervous about having them in my relatively dry garden as they always seem healthiest when surrounding streams and brooks in France! I'll just have to remember to water them regularly I guess...! 💦

David they thrive in my local area and they are left to their own devices. My neighbours have a huge plant in their garden and he does nothing with it and it has about 20 flowers stems on it right now.

@sara2309 and @debrascott thank you that's very reassuring! Especially as my track record with staying on top of watering is not that good ;-)

@wizine usually you will find that animals have a built in instinct for things like that or if your unsure try one in a pot out of reach 😊

Yes everything in lilies is poison for cats and dogs. Normally they avoid this kind of things but if pollen goes on their fur and they leak it you will have a very poorly pet to say the least.

I wouldn't worry, they are tuff as old boots, just mind the snails, they love to hyde inside the steams 😏

Mine are in full sun and never water them - always get lots of blooms. Mine do get a lot of mulch from bluebell foliage as they die back so maybe this helps

I love these too, after seeing lots of then in Gardens around Chepstow where I've been staying for a few days I'm going to try again. We do get lots of slugs and snails so I may be waiting my time😩
