I am retired and enjoy pottering in the garden. I love the wildlife that visits. I don't like pulling anything up so my garden is unorganised like me
Help me identify this plant
Found this growing round the side of house. Not sure if it's a potato vine @tiggrx @mikethegardener help pls 🤔🤔🤔
It's Woody Nightshade (Solanum dulcamara) a wild relative of the Potato Vine
Ok thanks Aaron @tiggrx Would you advise keep or get rid 🤔🤔🤔
It's up to you really. I usually keep a few around as they are pretty but bear in mind it is poisonous.
Yeah that's what I thought best get rid as have grandchildren living here at the moment. Thanks Aaron @tiggrx
One word for it DEADLY😱
@angipangi it has been known to be cause fatalities but this species generally would just make you ill. Deadly Nightshade (Atropa belladonna) is far more poisonous.
Thanks @tiggrx but wouldn't want to take the risk. The minute night shades mentioned I'm out🤒
@angipangi that's fairly sensible though remember that Potato & Tomato are both Nightshades.
Select an appropriate option
