I love lupin's but everytime I plant them in my garden they get stripped down to a skeleton 😬

Slug fodder but I do love them when they survive.

Had mine originally where it gets more sun, but were stripped naked 😉 moved them to part shade and they have survived really well. It maybe worth trying various positions.

@Linfoster Na Na na na na You little liar. I pointed out that slug hole in your hosta yesterday so own up you do have a little bit of a problem with a 🐌or 2 even ones that play 'shinty' 🏒in their spare time. 😂😂

@linfoster Sorry I meant to post this to I think @krishnahairdo who was bantering with me about slugs yesterday. I can't look back cos there's too many posts come in overnight Apologies for the slur on your garden prowess & I'm sure if you had hostas they would be 'perfect'😔😢 I'm now confused.

I love lupins but they don't seem to be happy in my garden. Am thinking of digging up the baby one that must have self seeded from last years attempt and potting it. Would it be happier with certain type of compost?

@karlamann Not for me personally. I have noticed that the more sunnier positions the more bugs you get eating them. Mine grow is semi shade on a plot where I've never even put compost on those areas. Its more about the position in my view.
