I would class my gardening skills as 'emergent'. I am very much enjoying the new found experience of planting things and watching them grow 😊

Against the odds my Camellia that had blight or something similar, is recovering and even has thrown out one or two flowers #hope :)

After a severe haircut to remove all the dodgy looking bits. In quarantine now, let’s see... #planthospital

I had some anti fungal treatment knocking about, so it’s been sprayed liberally with that

Is this disease? Or scorching from the hot weather?

how much of plant is affected? does not look like sun scald. would remove damaged leaves & stems with sterilized pruners & bag. dip cutting edge of pruners in alcohol & light / match. be careful not to burn yourself. ck with local garden center for disease in you area

Thanks Terry @moore.794 ; I’d say about 75% of this 8fter is now affected, worst at the base and spreading up...it came on over time rather than overnight, initially I attributed it to the weather, but now so much of the foliage has gone brown (see previous pic in my feed showing extent) that it seemed like it might have another cause. I can take a specimen to get it diagnosed - given just how much is affected, would you recommend removing all affected areas? Thanks for the help

Could it be fertiliser burn? It looks vaguely familiar.

Large, mature Camellia now looks like this - any ideas what has gone wrong? It’s not been a great year with the big snow and the heatwave, so could be a combination of those, but wondering if it’s diseased rather than stressed? I’ll post a photo of some leaves with brown spot on them
