Clematis montana 'Rubens'

I want to grow this up the pipe....can anyone advise would this be ok?

@hargshirl Yes you could grow it up the pipe but it will be far too big and will spread all over the place and up in the gutters. The bigger problem I see is if you need any maintenance done to the pipe or wall painted at anytime you'll have to cut it down to the ground. If you want to disguise your pipe you get special plastic pot holders to fix on the pipe & you can plant any trailing or climbing plants in them & remove them anytime you need. Hope this helps😀
