Tropaeolum speciosum

#plantid anyone know what this plant is it’s growing on a fir tree in my garden that we have to fell and I would love to replace the plant or try and save it. Many thanks xx

@jpea Do you remember what this plant is called from your travels earlier this year? I remember you posted pictures of this climber in hedgerows.

As Joan said, I saw it in Donegal and it was identified as the Scottish flame by @williamson @ublaszko
