Can't help sharing another photo of these brilliant Nerine Bowdenii growing on our Nurseries, the vibrant pink is so glorious! ... Our tip is to plant in a sunny, sheltered, free-draining position so they can establish in the autumn and flower year after year. 💓💓
@gjones Autumn flowering, so they are magnificent in the garden this time of year! A dry spot is best to mimic their natural habitat, then autumn rains usually trigger flowering.
@gjones They will grow well in terracotta pots. Enthusiasts collect all the different species and cultivars in pots, however, it's only Nerine bowdenii that are reliably hardy in the UK. If you grow them in pots put them in a glass house or porch during the winter & keep them dry so they don't freeze.
