My mango tree is back at it this year. Hoping to have some survivors from the birds & squirrels.🤞 #mango #pickeringmango

A tribute to my failed mango harvest this year. This tree was full of blooms, and my little army of resident squirrels have eaten all but one tiny fruit. I put a mesh bag over my sole survivor & we'll see if it makes it to maturity! I love my little pack of mischief makers, but they definitely take a toll on the garden sometimes. 🤷♀️🐿 #mango #pickeringmango

This must be how parents feel about their kindergarten graduates. #samesame #pickeringmango #mango
So jealous. I would loveeeee to have a small mango that would bear fruit.
@novicegardenlover it flowered like crazy & made tons of little fruit babies, but they all either fell or were eaten by critters... this is the lone survivor! I wasn't sure if I'd get anything this year so I'm calling it a rousing success 😂

Mosquito netting or tulle work great for keeping critters away. I used netting over my fruits and veggies and got to enjoy a good bounty this season. I also used some netting to cover pots so the squirrels can’t dig into them. Zip ties work great to secure the material. Squirrels like to dig holes in pots to save their nuts and will uproot plants in the process. This helped wonders this season.
