Steady crop of #elderberry all summer so far! #foodforest #permaculture

I trimmed m bushes up & at the time was too tired to pull the berries... now I regret it! I still have many heads left, but... What do you do with yours?

@KariSamuel ...so far they're just chicken treats! 🤣🙊 Lol I'm going to make jam and a tincture one of these days - just easily sidetracked. And honestly a bit intimidated as this the 1st time I've personally dealt with raw foraged elderberry. I've mostly been in observation mode this 1st summer here as I get to know the plants here & really do my research (plus, FL summers keep me trapped inside 🥵). Gonna make it a personal goal to harvest & USE by the end of the season!
