Thank you and afternoon Enid 😀 I have some bulbs in the border but I’ve had no luck with them at all. They’re certainly not the most reliable or easy flowers to grow. These have been grown in planters but even so, not all the bulbs have come through. I’m certainly enjoying those that have 💕💕

My success rate is probably around 10%, but judging by how temperamental they are, I guess that’s not bad! @hebelover

Hope everyone is keeping well and apologies as I’ve not been around these past few weeks….just so much going on! Hope to be catching up with everyone’s post very soon. Wonderful to finally be able to share my #nerine-bowdenii which has refused to bloom for 2 years since purchasing the bulbs! #bowden-lily #nerine #slowstarter #pink #bestofseptember

They certainly are Julie! I got fed up of waiting so stuck the pot in an open coldframe, ignored them completely and couldn’t believe it when I saw a flash of pink out of the corner of my eye! 😂 @juliesgarden

These were the ones with the least lush, green foliage so I figured they weren’t going to amount to anything. So there may be hope for the others yet!🤞 @debs69 @kez001uk

Good luck Angela🍀Nerine are very, very fussy. Have you tried them before? @italydiva

Thank you Shona! 🤞No, this is the first time I’ve tried to grow them. I’ve put most of them in pots, with the few remaining in a sunny border. At least now I know they’re temperamental, I won’t take it too personally if they’re not successful 😆 Any tips? @sho47

Yes Angela, I’ve never grown them in pots but they do not like to be planted under soil !! They prefer just to sit on top of the soil in a sheltered, well drained, very sunny positionā˜€ļøGood luck 🍀🤞@italydiva

Ps Angela look at my plants and you’ll see mine with some small stones round about them. I absolutely love them @italydiva

Thank you so much for the advice. Yours look fabulous Shona! I hope mine turn out as well. I’ve planted them in compost with plenty of sand and grit, with lots of extra drainage at the bottom and with their tips sticking out of the top (will that be enough do you think?). I’ve also covered the compost with gravel. I can always add some extra stones just to be on the safe side 😊 @sho47

That all sounds good Angela but I’m not really sure as my bulbs are visible on top of the ground. Worth a try though 🤞for this year! 🤞@italydiva
