Anyone else watching Gardeners World and going to spend the weekend digging up all the dreaded Skunk Cabbage from their streams? 😫
Interesting! I haven't seen any here yet !
Good luck, it didn't look as easy job 😕
Not seen Gardeners World yet. Looks so nice. I assume it's invasive 🤔
@susanhumphrey333 @karenkk It's not only invasive but wrecks waterways and kills bees etc by attracting and killing them apparently. Has to be burned to dispose of it. 😫
@7walnutclose Tough as old boots, especially as it's in the banks of the stream which collapse as you dig it out! Aarrgghhh
Doesn't sound goodI Helen 😒 Hope you get these sorted.
Not good at all then Helen 😳

So pretty but so smelly! Gets really big as well but I don't want to dig it up.
I love these alien pods! Invasive in waterways, restricted roots in a pond pot, discourages escaping aliens!
Does it have big roots @thehardygardener? Should I dig up and pot then?
Could do if ur worries are escapees, roots relative to plant years, a big pond pot be oky @itstillhelen
Thankyou for the advice!
The vile smelling skunk cabbage has grown back. So pretty but such a vile stench!
I like the look of these Helen 💛💛
Soo pretty glad I can’t smell it 👍😊
I love the look of them, they spread rapidly and it took me ages last year to work out what the awful smell was!
