Lemons shouldn't need support. I'd recommend the same as @brightcolours - it needs a good prune back to a strong framework and until it can support the weight of a full crop reduce the quantity.
Thanks for the comments @KathyB @brightcolours. As a dwarf plant it has a lot of fruit and this ways it down. It’s a grafted lemon and lime tree actually. I have been avoiding too much pruning would reduce fruiting.
I have a lemon-lime double graft. On mine the lemon is way more vigorous than the lime so I have to prune it to even it out. The tree as a whole is nowhere near as robust as a plain old lemon. Mine is in a pot and needs to stay smallish. I also reduce the fruit load by at least half, otherwise the branches can be weighed right down to the ground.
I know this is a dwarf plant but should i try a stonger and taller trellis to support it when it fruits.
#lemontree #myerlemon
It needs a good prune to open it up. #myerlemon-advice #lemontree-advice @nej @kathyb @lin any advice?

PS I'm in Newcastle. 😊 It's nice to see some more localish people on GT! 😊
So I might have to do the same and cut it back but grow another one. Ext to it to make up for the reduced fruit. @kathyb. Thank u for the comments
