Some of them are, but most half & half, with some in shade. They are either biennial or short lived perennial plants, but they self seed with profusion. I have found that ones which do flower for a second year running tend to run out if steam & don't put on such a good show & then usually die after that, so that may be all that's going on with yours Mark?
@jeatacake thanks. I picked up some white and the tag said 6 hours of sun, but I usually find with our super hot sun and high humidity they won't take it and I've always read they do better in mixed shade at the edge of woods. We'll see what happens.
Foxgloves are biennial, so the first year they are small and immature, the following year they do their thing and then self seed prolifically but the that is it!
@jeatacake Jeff, are your foxglove in full sun? I can't seem to get mine to come back and I have tried numerous locations.

Yes, very wise Mark, as it's a lot cooler here, which is their native climate of course @maldavis 👍

Some of mine do go on into what is effectively a 3rd year & flower for a 2nd time, but that is definitely it after that @valjones-hughes
