@gjones & @columbiariver Thank you. Must be at least 20 flower buds on it. I am just so relieved it survived its upheaval. It was in very poor sandy soil at my mother's & approx 90% shade. It should do better now as it seems to have taken root in its new home, in very slightly acidic clay soil & approx 50% shade 👍
Thank you @Myrthe It was a tricky & delicate process. I dug it out, at a radius of about 18 inches all around, trying hard not to damage the roots & not letting it dry out or get too stressed. Plenty of organic matter in the planting hole & lots of watering with rain water. It seems to have worked, as was the case with one I did when I moved house 4 years ago.
#signsoflife Promising buds on my mum's old rhododendron, having survived the the move to my garden last autumn.
Looking good! How did you do that, move a rhododendron and get it back to such good shape?

I have some old rhododendrons I'd like to move, so I might give your technique a go... Thanks for describing it to me @jeatacake!
You're very welcome @Myrthe & now may be a good time to do it before they spring back into life.
Great to see it doing so well Jeff! 👍🏼👍🏼
