Please help me identify this plant. Seen in several locations in South & central Thailand this week 👍

#ruellia or #mexicanpetunia. This became popular in my island as a border plant some years ago, but I learnt its name through gt.

Great plant !! New to me

Saw lots of them in Thailand, which makes me think they'll struggle here, although Cyndi has had success with them 🤔 @sherrisgarden

What's ironic is I don't live too far from Mexico, and I've never seen one here in my area.

I wonder if it's because the climate is drier there? 🤔 It's anything but dry in Thailand. It even rains in the dry season there ! @sherrisgarden
