Now that I've read your bringing yours in for winter, I've just done the same, I did wonder if it was worth a try!

I tried these last summer for the first time & they did quite well but we did have an exceptional June & July. This year's normal & far wetter summer has been a reality check for them! I reckon the flower buds on mine are at least 3 weeks away from flowering. By then I'm sure we'll have had frost, which will have killed them off. Theh are only annuals of course, but at least I should see flowers before they die off in the greenhouse 🤞 @sieveheadsarah

They certainly do & will (hopefully) brighten up the greenhouse when they bloom 🧡🧡 @sabbanrula

They can easily reach 6 ft or more. This year's rainfall had probably made them grow taller. Yes, they have bright orange flowers. A bit different to our usual sunflowers & smaller flowers. Well worth trying next year @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

There are 2 others I've left in the border which you may be able to make out in this photo (just to the left of the one in the pot). One of those 2 I'm leaving out is taller than this one I've potted up! @kez001uk

I think this is the species Elaine - mine is a cultivar called ‘Torch’ and hasn’t grown as tall. It’s a bit cold and wet to go out and measure it but I’d guess mine is about 4’ tall and a bit bushier than Jeff’s. @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

Mine has new growth, so if it gets more flowers I'll be very happy Jeff 👍🏼😀
