Lovely, is it a tree start or just a lemon plant? Thought they grew on trees like oranges.

@purplebird yes it is a tree in a container so i can bring it in for the Boston winters. This is it's 3rd crop of lemons.

How often a year does it fruit??

@Pushkraj it has bloomed every 7-8 months. Laat fruit was lixked early June 2016. I let them stay on tree until yellow deepens. The tiniest of new buds are beginning to emerge.

Moved indoors for the fall and winter in New England. Now #ripening🍋 #meyerslemon 🍋

How old is your tree?

About 2 years old to me @alovealoe It was small with lots of leaves and I didnt know it was a fruit tree until it flowered - SMELLS AMAZING! Small fruit last Dec and bigger this summer! Hoping it will flower well again soon!

@iceveins Im not sure! This is year 3 and it is a bit delicate. I didnt even know it was a fruit tree until it first bloomed last year (It smells amazing!)

I noticed the "#gyo" tag. Did you grow it from seeds? I ask because I am growing some from seeds and wonder on fruit and length of time.

@lovestogarden I wasnt sure what this was when i got it. Tiny and ornamental, I had no idea it was a fruit tree until it began blooming in middle of winter! I saved seeds from it's all it's fruit this year and would love to see some successful sprouts.

Well, I started Meyer lemon seeds from my tree and they are about 6" tall now. I will keep them and see if they produce. 😉
