@cheesey73 @Squares this is mums bonsai again and she is worried it is not looking as good, is it just because its still only spring/

My horse chestnut looks pretty much the same so yes, probably.... I have been watering diligently though because we have had limited rain

@AnnikasGarden thank you have you ever potted yours on, she was wondering if she should get a bigger pot and some bonsai compost? It was a gift to her a few years ago and she doesn't know too much about them, but she does love it 😁

Our tree looks like this when the new leaves appear

@kathy awe thanks for that its really reassuring,

i would say give it a feed :)

@squares what feed is best?

Mums oak bonsai has got sticky buds does anyone know what it could be?

Stick buds are usually on a horse chestnut

@cheesey73 maybe it is a horse chestnut then she cant always remember which one it is, is it normal to have sticky buds then?

lovely yes aesculus hippocastanum :)

Couldn't think of the Latin name it's a lot of years since I was at college lol @Squares

Yes it's normal @Keely
