Finally flowering again 😍 #camellia

They are thinking spring has already arrived 💗

@KOutdoors @jeatacake was surprised to see colour as the other one I have is just closed buds. Hoping they’ll make it through these freezing temperatures 😔

One of my rhododendrons was flowering a few weeks ago before I left. As you say they'll not like the cold blast it seems they're getting right now!

@lesliecole49 I’m glad you like it 😁 I was disappointed in it when the first flower opened but it’s grown on me, a little 😂

It does look a little scruffy but I love the simple flowers. Not that I would turn down something lush and fancy, mind you!

@jeatacake thank you 😁 I didn’t know camellia flowers looked like this to be honest. They look like wild roses to me 😂 expected perfect and fluffy like the ones you see on here 😜

Quite a lot do, especially the original species, but there are hundreds of new ones being bred these days & they seem to get frillier & fancier all the time! 🤩

@ublaszko a lot neater and symmetrical like most I’ve seen on here 🤣 the buds looked like they’d got a tiny bit of frost damage so they didn’t open as I’d hoped. Can’t stand a lopsided flower Urszula! 😆😆😆 wilko haven’t been too great to you recently! I hope the camellia will be as you hope ☺️

No idea 😅 Only getting the first flower this year. I just hope I don't knock off the flowerbud by accideny before it gets to flower 😥 I've been known to do that a number of times 😰

I'm trying to keep away from that area 😁😅 I will give it a good tidy up once the camellia is in flower 😁

It looks identical to one I’ve got and its flower looks the same💗
