He’s well camouflaged! 🦗 #hylotelephium #hylotelephium-autumn-joy #sedum #wildlifewednesday

He really is. Your sedum looks lovely 💚💜

He certainly is…survival mode at its best!

@hkyfvr @gjones @italydiva he’s ok on there until I start seeing holes 🤣 although I’m not certain I could see him to move him on to pastures new 😆

😂🤣

As fluffy as the sedum 💗🐝💗 #hylotelephium #hylotelephium-autumn-joy #sedum #wildlifewednesday

Great “fluffy” photo!

That is a beautiful photo. Do love all the fluffiness 💗💕

That looks like the perfect resting place Kerry.

@italydiva @gjones @hkyfvr @sieveheadsarah thank you all ☺️ think every pollinator in the garden feasted on this sedum. Was quite a popular hangout! 😂

Always welcome 💗🐝

Great photo Kerry 👍🐝 I think they've all packed their bags and gone away for winter here!

@jeatacake thank you my lovely ☺️ I don’t blame them 🥶 the temperature seems to have dropped a fair few degrees in recent days 😩

Another mild spell forecast for this week might bring them out again?

@jeatacake here’s hoping! Might bring me out too 🤣 so much to do outside but the weather changes so much that it never gets done 🙈

I know exactly what you mean but at least I got one green bin filled with unruly buddleia cuttings the other day. I must do the rest ASAP as there's only 2 more green bin collections left until next March here!

@jeatacake buddleja grows like a monster over a season 🤯 my neighbours have 3 down our shared path and they’re easily 12’, full with bloody spiders too 😱 oh I forgot they do that 🙈 I much check mine 😜

Aren't they just beautiful with all those tiny little flowers 🌸🌸🌸

They are so pretty. Love the colour. 💗💕 I thought mine were Autumn Joy but they are much darker. They are changing colour I think. 💗

Wow. Lovely colour

@pelly @gjones @charlotte thanks so much ladies 💕 fascinates me that one flower head can have so many individual blooms 🤯💗

@hkyfvr thank you Diane ☺️ Each time I see this variety it looks a different colour. Some are this light and some almost red. I wonder if planting conditions dictate the shade they are 🤔

That is possible. I looked at mine tonight and the newer blooms are light pink and the older blooms are much darker. I forgot that mine do darken down. 🤔🤷♀️ @kez001uk

@hkyfvr I’ll have to keep an eye on mine. Would like it to get darker 😋

It is really pretty with the darker pink. My other sedum which is just opening is a pale pink so it is a nice contrast 💗🌸

@hkyfvr I know you love your rainbow of pinks 😉💕💞💓💗💖💘💝

I sure do. Everything is pretty in pink to me. I am enjoying other colours a lot more than I used to. Even oranges and yellows which were never my faves. Still pink is my top choice in just about everything 👍💗🌸💖💕😊 @kez001uk

@hkyfvr everything pink does just look pretty by default 😉💓

Beautiful 💗💗

Your Hosta’s looking great Kerry, mine are looking rather tatty now 🤨

Beautiful. Is your Sedum in a pot Kez? It looks like it. I've had a tie part of mine, it always flops 💕💕💕

@hkyfvr thanks Diane ☺️

@sieveheadsarah thanks Sarah 😊 they’re all behind this year as I repotted them and buried them a little too deep 🤣 surprised this one is doing so well as it’s in full sun. Flowered already and has sent up 3 new spikes!

@midnightgardener thanks Chris 😀 it’s in a fairly big pot now and is doing so much better for it. I think it was @pelly who wrote about Chelsea chopping them to help stop the flop 🤪🤣🤣

Always welcome Kerry 😊

I did and then I forgot to do mine this year Kerry and Chris 🙄😂 @midnightgardener

@kez001uk @pelly 😂Oh, I did the Chelsea chop but it comes back every time, tall and floppy so I tie it 💕💕

@pelly 😂 maybe next year 😉🤣

@midnightgardener oh no 😜 but at least you found a solution 😁

Love these. So pretty and much needed at this time of year. 💗😍😍

Very lovely🌸mine are behind yours too🤪love these💚💗

Just love the tiny flowers 🌸🌸🌸

@gjones @hkyfvr @crabby58 @pelly thank you all 😀 we seem to have fallen into autumnal weather here so it’s true to its name 🤣

Very welcome. We are still warm here but the cool is coming. Joyful 🍂 autumn

@hkyfvr you are due a late summer after all that rain! A mild autumn would be nice to extend the annuals a little 🤞🏻

Thanks Kerry. Would love that. They are forecasting a mild September 🤞🤞🤷♀️

@hkyfvr it’s needed! 😅

Wow, your 'Autumn Joy' is a completely different colour to mine!

That's lovely 💕💕💕

@Soph1e I looked through photos after seeing your message and most are much darker than this 😜 got it from Tesco though so could well be wrongly named 😂

@gjones thank you Katy 😀 it’s almost a bubblegum pink. After what Sophie said I’m wondering if it is Autumn Joy 🤔

@midnightgardener thank you Chris 😄 the bees seem to love it too 🐝

@gjones I’ll post one tomorrow and hopefully can work it out 😜 half of it is flowering nicely, half had to be cut back after a pigeon decided to sit on it and crush it 🤣

@ukjohnny thanks John ☺️ it rarely is bee-free 🐝🐝🐝

I love this Kerry, not sure what's happened to mine this year but it's not looking good at all!

Wow!! Beautiful!!

@lilybee this nutty weather can’t be helping. This is flowering but losing a lot of the leaves. Looks like they’re rotting off. Is that what’s happening to yours?

@suzieshadow1227gmailcom looks like a galaxy of pink stars 💖

Yes it totally does!! 💖💖💖😊😊

Yes Kerry, leaves look sad and some of the flower heads have started to form but then seem to have died.

@lilybee I was reading online it could be too much water. Despite the heat we’ve had it was a wet winter so maybe that’s stressed the plant. I hope it will recover 🤞🏻

Thanks very much Kerry, 🤞 here too!

@sherrisgarden it was so nice to see! Just a shame it was still freezing cold 🥶😂

Lots of new growth 💚 #hylotelephium #hylotelephium-autumn-joy

I love these colours 😊

Mine have new growth too!

Wow. Your stuff is really coming up.

@natii pink & green always look so pretty together 💚💗

@lesliecole49 the new growth is cute isn’t it 😛 like little rosettes 💚

@janetandjim think it’s because it’s been quite mild so far. I expect the bad weather we usually get in February will damage a lot of it 😐

I think they look like brussel sprouts !! Lol

@lesliecole49 yess! Really they do 😂 far less tasty though 😋

@keezooluk interesting! I'd like to run across one of those cuties.

@ReginaSanders these shouldn’t be too hard to find. Sedums are pretty common certain times of the year. You should take a look at the ones @gjones has 😍😍😍

What a beauty 💖

@gjones they do, so much more intricate looking than I thought 🤩

@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom thanks Elaine 😀

@ShelleySnyder thanks Shelley 😃

@jeatacake thank you Jeff 😄

My pleasure!💘😍

Still not easy to spot him 🧐 #hylotelephium #hylotelephium-autumn-joy #sedum #wildlifewednesday
Look at him in there 💚
I love these guys! How did they learn to look like leaves?? #katydid
I see him 😍 What did you do with him? @kez001uk
@kez001uk never mind I thought it was a grasshopper 🙃
No wonder I couldn’t see him in the last photo 😂😂😂
Awww 💚
Great photo Kerry!
@hkyfvr @sushiwaitress @pelly @juliesgarden @italydiva @KOutdoors he was a decent size but got completely lost on the huge flowerhead 😂 I usually find them on dark leaves so assumed they were a little lacking in the smarts department 🤣 but this one must have all the brains! 🧐
@Dragon_Warrior I think they’re very similar, from what I’ve read anyway. These are pains as they eat leaves & flowers 😡 destructive but fascinating little beasts
🤣😂
We don't seem to get these up here. I've never seen one anywhere I've lived.
