So very welcome Kerry. It is nice to see yellow for a change. Wonder what makes them start to flower after 3 years. Mine just finished its first flowers. Hope I do not have to wait 3 years 🤔🤷‍♀️

@hkyfvr great colour for this time of year especially 💛 I think I may have snapped a stalk one year 🙈 just be sure to delicately stake them if they need it, not go in like a bull in a China shop like I did 😆

Love orchid flowers, they last for so long. Can't wait for mine to flower. The buds also take a long time to develop though!! #prosandcons

I love them 💞💛💞 I don’t know about you but I’ve never been able to regrow one when it finished 😏

@bluefox23 they do make up for the long wait 😛 the buds seem to be on there for as long as the flowers 😂

@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom I have been lucky with my orchids, they just put in new growth pretty much as soon as a spike dies back. I have them in my kitchen and think the humidity helps them no end. Other than watering once a fortnight all I do is cut away the stems that die back but I wait because often the new growth appears on the stems that have just flowered

@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom like you Kerry mine is in the kitchen. I had my first one die in me this year after 6/7 years but my other one reflowers at least once a year 😊 I don’t cut back stems now until I know they’re dead as I keep getting new growth on the old flowering stems too

@bluefox23 seems kitchen is a great place for them. Guess it is more like the conditions they naturally grow in

@kez001uk @bluefox23 I’ve always put my finished plant somewhere cool and then forgot about it, inevitably they dry out..maybe I should leave them alone in future. Thanks for the tutorial ladies...😉😘

@sherrisgarden 4? oh no! They really can be temperamental, I just keep mine in the kitchen where it’s humid and water once every couple of weeks. Neglect seems to work 😂
