After many years the agave has a flower spike.

That’s enormous 😃

Is it true that means the end of its life. What an amazing last stand

linleys
Sadly that is true @Shephes , main plant is already starting to die off. They send up plenty of replacement pups but I do have heaps of other mature ones in e same pot. Don’t ask me how they have all managed to survive years in the same pot, roots are well and truly entrenched in the ground now though.

Shephes
They are very resilient and live more on what drops on them I think. My biggest problem is hail which rips the foliage to shreds. Glad you have many more on the way. Enjoy the last hurrah
