Cocktus update!! I want to remove his fake flower so badly but I dont want to hurt it!

Is it one of those straw flowers ?

If so, it should be attached with just a hot glue gun, I took one off the other day on a plant I bought, it came right. Was no problem. @LopEarLaura

Yes it is a straw flower. Good to know!! Thanks @sherrisgarden !!

Very welcome

Cocktus. Just realized the flower on top is fake so now to figure out if it is better to keep it on or to take it off...

Take the flower off they hinder the growth it's hot glued on the species is mammillaria elongata or CopperKing

I've been working on slowly removing it. Any advice on getting it off without hurting the cactus?

They use hot glue to put them on, if it's only on the spines I'd use small scissors to clip them, sometimes you can use a razor to carve off the straw flower down to the hot glue, if you have to cut off some spines it'll heal might even put off a new arm where you cut it
Flower-ectomy complete to the best of my ability!
