I was wondering if you could tell me what you use for your succulents in containers?? I bought a store cactus mix. .but the more I read the more I think it's not a good idea. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated! !!

Christeen, I use a mix of half regular potting mix to half Perlite. I also have some in straight Perlite - these are VERY sensitive to water. I live in an are that does not get much rain, but gets a lot of sun year round.you may have to play a little, but keep in mind the geographic origin of the plant. I hope this helps you. 🚱🚰⚠ @christeentranchina #advice

Oh, Christeen, I forgot, some people do an equal mix of Perlite, sand and potting soil. I have done this too, but they dried out rather quickly for me. @christeentranchina #advice

Thank you so much!!.I'm worried the peat that is in the mix will stay to wet. I'm in Louisiana and it always humid...even in winter lol. I may add extra perlite and see if that helps. This will my first time with succulents. Fingers crossed. .thanks again xoxo

That sounds like the right idea. Just remember that the soil should be dry to the touch before you water and multiple leaves start to fall off or rot 🚱⚠, too damp. @christeentranchina
