Day 20: Drama Queen. This sweet girl never ceases to amaze me and by that I mean she tries to die all the time. But just last month she decided to finally bloom for the first time ever and I was mind blown let me tell you. I love this plant. My momma gave it to me 🥰 #peace-lily #aprilplantchallenge #succulove #spathiphyllum-wallisii

Day 29: ā€œLove to Hateā€ Plant. Iā€™m not quite sure what ā€œlove to hateā€ means but that would be my #peace-lily Iā€™m sure. No matter what I do sheā€™ll never bloom. We have this wilt-water relationship going and if it works to keep her alive it works to keep her alive and we are just set in our ways thatā€™s how itā€™s going to be. So there. #letsgrowin2020 #succulove #houseplant #spathiphyllumwallisii

Its so weird people complain about these alot u know about the need for water and drooping. Honestly I don't water mine too often and she still seems ok no major droop. I proabably cursed myself now tho everytime I really compliment a plant of mine it goes downhill. Really pisses me off lol

@heatherdirtyhands I donā€™t know what the deal is with mine. She is just a picky little brat lol

Mine droops on a hot day but after giving it a drink, it perks back up. They are outside in shade. 🥰 maybe needs more bright light to bloom 😊💚

@LisaCollection Iā€™ve tried brighter light and lower light. Neither helped. I donā€™t get it honestly hah

Try south window. about 1 ft in from glass. P lilies like to be slightly pot bound. Give it time may take awhile to get pot bound & get ready to bloom. Good luck @madnessbroken

@moore.794 thank you! Iā€™ll be sure to try that 😊

Wouldn't south facing light that close be too much sun on it? @moore.794

5w

moore.794

@heatherdirtyhands by setting back 1 foot the light is indirect. Friend has hers in west window with sheer curtain to soften direct light

5w

heatherdirtyhands

1 foot is just very close u know. With a sheer curtain tho that would help @moore.794

@heatherdirtyhands hers is in the window needs sheer. 1 foot back is not direct unless big high window or patio doors. Have a great day

Mine seem to do best when they are not in bright light. Nut I did have one that wasn't happy anywhere no matter what I did for it. Poor thing just withered away

@lesliecole49 Iā€™ve tried every spot in my house unfortunately. This is the best this little one has ever gotten and will probably ever will get but Iā€™m okay with it as long as itā€™s alive.

Lol, I have 3 big ones and I thought I was the worst plant parent at first because of them. Until I FIGURED THEM OUT! Finicky lil water divas...🙄

Hydrospikes are the answer. 😉 Ever since I started controlling the watering this way, they are thriving so much better. I used to get a lot of yellow tips due to inconsistent watering and once I put the hydrospikes, no more yellow edges. And I also give them a lot of indirect light, I know they say these are "low light" plants but I noticed all of mine did better once I put them in western exposure. Hope this helps!! You got this! 😁💓
