I had a similar big problem on my Angel trumpet it was spider mites @ShelleySnyder do you think this is spider mites. If you go back she shows the underside of a leaf.

@terrimclaughlin spider mites will show webs at the base of leaves and all down the stem, I don't think that's what this is, I'll agree with the others and say it may be a bit of over watering 💘😍

@terrimclaughlin Thanks girl, I don't see any pests its only the lower leaves that are like these but the newer ones aren't yellow but do have little dots over them..ugh so frustrating

I’ve had one for years and I only keep it around 15” tall. The older leaves turn yellow and fall off naturally. They grow new leaves fairly quickly. I wouldn’t stress about it. 🌞

The older leaves on my money tree and all getting these weird spots on them, I checked for bugs or watering issues I have found none. There is lots of new growth on this plant, I had it in my south facing window were it got direct sun so I moved it to a northern window with bright light and sprayed it down for the past weeks with diy of water, alcohol and soap. @yogi2 I love it more than other apps @gardentags is the best place for people who love their plants and are either advanced or still learning .

@KariSamuel its in coco coir type soil in a nursery pot i don't see roots coming out so I'm guessing its not root bound , I water when soil is completely dry

Have you ever repotted it into better all purpose plant soil? I'm wondering if the coco coir is providing it with enough nutrients?

Is the top showing any damage

I would check closer, maybe with a looking glass for thrips, and if u have any other plants too

The yellowing usually points toward a watering issue, were these lower leaves? If so them i would lean more toward a reaction to unhappy moisture?? Otherwise I'm stumped😊 but keep watching it closely💚

@KariSamuel It wasn't really root bound but it was in a pot with no holes so I repotted it

Maybe that was the problem, no drainage holes. I forget to check the bottoms of my pots too. Hopefully it’ll be ok now. If you have a nursery you go to you could ask someone there. Sometimes even at Lowe’s there’s usually one person that might know something that might help. Or google your plant to find out what that sticky stuff is about???😊💕

I find this one likes a bit of extra moisture. I let mine experience some real rain awhile back and she got a sun burn. 🥴 Oh, me. Oh, my. We do learn the hard way sometimes. 💞

@lovestogarden I try to keep my plants indoors...aphids got my hibiscus last year and it was on my deck
