Fuchsia 'Magellanica'

My first Fuchsia. Any tips for general care?

@ublaszko is very good on plant advice! I found that my hardy fuchsias didn't like the really hot weather last year so this year I've moved a couple to partial shade but that might not be the case for all varieties. 🙂

Aww thank you Sue 😊 @lilybee Yep, I found hardy fuchsias do best in partial shade and they don't like to dry out. I prune mine hard every spring because I like the new pink stems but it means that I don't get flowers until mid-summer although it then goes on until October/November. @kez001uk has some magnificent fuchsias so she's probably a good person to ask about them. 👍

Also, keep deadheading spent flowers and berries so your fuchsia continues to flower for months to come 😊
